WE ARE now HIRING for:

BARISTA

We are currently seeking a Barista to join our team of professionals and join us behind the counter at our Coffee Shop.


Our Baristas enjoy a busy, fast- paced environment and will be responsible for preparing the daily drink orders using espresso and other coffee-based beverages. The ideal candidate has experience operating an espresso machine, and must be able to work quickly, maintain a high level of energy and direct traffic in a busy environment. We are willing to train individuals who might be newer to a Barista role with our in house training if needed. 


In terms of pay we are also offer tips that will be split between the members working each shift Along with the pay rate that is listed per hour.

Shift: Day shift, Evening shift, Morning shift, Night shift

Weekly day range: Monday to Friday & Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate: Austin, TX 78701
Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Experience:
Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
Barista experience: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification: TABC Certified (Preferred) Food Handler Certification (Preferred)

Shift availability: Day Shift (Preferred) Night Shift (Preferred) Work Location: One location (Downtown Austin)

Responsibilities:

  • Brew coffee and tea.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Be a role model for customer service for other employees.
  • Communicate with customers about the menu and drinks.
  • Prepare our selected foods for customers.
  • Oversee the cleaning of the store and maintenance of equipment.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Be a team player


Job Types: Full-time, Part-time


Salary: $10.00 plus Tips

BARtender

Our friendly neighborhood Capitol Cafe is looking for a Bartender to join our team. This individual will be responsible for explaining drink specials to customers, recommending wine and beer, and will also be in charge of restocking the bar and maintaining clean bar surfaces. The ideal candidate has a passion for the hospitality industry and will be prepared to work some nights and weekends.

Shift: Day shift, Evening shift, Morning shift, Night shift

  • Maintain a neat and organized work area and clean as needed.
  • Follow all relevant alcohol licensing laws.
